To follow on from our first entry of The Faces of Simplaex series, we sat down with one of our Advance Business Development Managers, Yazdan. This series is designed to share some interesting insights into the team behind Simplaex. Thanks Yazdan for taking part!
How long have you worked at Simplaex?
Around 7 months. I joined the team in February.
How has your previous experience prepared you for your current role?
I have been working in this industry since 2016 and prior to this I was working in sales. I’d say, this combined experience, plus studying for my MBA helped me acquire the skills and confidence to be more efficient in my current role.
What motivates you every day?
As a salesperson, of course, signing new contracts (IOs) is my biggest motivation every day when I come to the office. This involves working closely with our media team, which I really enjoy. We are all serious when it comes to work but at the same time, we are good at making jokes and having fun together.
What is your preferred strategy for finding business partners?
It varies from time to time, but usually, I try to find and contact the advertisers whose offers have a similar vibe to the ones which we are already running and which are successful on our traffic. This is what we like to call look-alikes! This strategy generally increases our chances of success.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Simplaex?
My colleagues! I enjoy every minute of working with them.
